Are You The Boss Of Me?

No body can be the boss of anybody else. We are our own bosses and do what we want to do and accomplish it. A boss really, is someone you work for. But me, I work for myself and not anyone else. If I were to ever start my own business, I think I would most likely choose to be selling CDs, MP3 Players, I-Pods, almost anything electronic and that has to do with music. My passion is music and I would like to be selling it. Maybe my own if I had a band. I know we would all struggle with these jobs, but as we stick with it for who knows how many years, then we can do it and be thankful for what we have done. People will also be thanking us for the products we have brought to them.

Who's The Body Builder?

Brian Ruhe
In this article I am reading, it tells about a young man, Brian Ruhe, who was apart of a bad car crash, and loses both of his legs. He was only 18 at the time and in college studying to be an aerospace engineer. Even though he knew he had no legs, he did not stop his dream of being an aerospace engineer. Later on he began to learn how to walk again, he had prosthetic legs. He decided to switch to go to college for biomedical engineering, which he helps people who have the same problem like him, the people have artificial legs and arms.

He had no legs so he decided to become a biomedical engineer, as he did, he showed the others who were like him, that you can still do what you want to do, don't give up. Stick with your dream, and I know that you know you can do it.

Many people got into the same job and started helping people out all across the world. So no matter if you have no legs or arms, you can still accomplish you goals if you put your mind to it.

How this relates to me? I think it is interesting in how he finishes his dream without legs. I believe that all people with the same problem can do whatever they like, they just have to try and do their best at it. If they give up, then they may not know what to do later on in life. I do not know anyone around here with this same problem, I have seen them around different towns and states but I don't make fun of them and I know that they are strong and can get through it.

What Is A Freelancer?

What is a freelancer, to you?
  • A freelancer, to me, is basically a person who doesn't have an ordinary job, but has one at home. They can go to work late if they wanted to, because they really don't have a boss. And also they may go to work in their pajamas. It is a job, but, it doesn't stress you out as much as an original job, you can do your work at home, as long as you get it done. Freelancers also have a lot of responsibilities, as well as any other job out there.

  • A freelancer really is a person who works for different companies at once, known as a technical editor.

If you were a freelancer, what are the most important things to keep in mind to be successful?

Be a good self-motivator: If you don't have a boss, but have your own job, you may want to be your own boss and put yourself to work. Try as hard as you can, be the best you can be, and accomplish it. Stay on task and be honest with yourself and others.

Be aware of the details: If you are a freelancer, than all the details are, is that you have to take care of more responsibilities and be in charge of many important things.

How Do You Open A Business Of Your Own?

What do you do to open a business?

Fallow the steps in How To Start Your own Business.
Step 1:State Your Business
Step 2: Come Up With A Plan
Step 3: Incorporate--or Don't
Step 4: Find Funding

1. The main topic of this article is starting your own business and having steps of how to begin.
  • It will be you, you are going to decide if you want your own business or not, if you do, then you have to take it step by step and figure out how you are going to do it. You may start this business whenever you are ready. Your business can be in your hometown if you wanted it to. Why would you want too start your own business? Maybe, to make money for yourself and family, instead of buying things from other places you can get yours for free at your own place, and also you really don't have to start your own business, only if you want to and if you put your mind to it.

2. How does it relate to me, my future plans, my community, and others?
  • Well in the future I am not exactly sure on what I will be doing and how I will get through life. But, If I were to start my own business i would try really hard and create everything I know and everything I am experienced at. If my business is good, then I will keep at it and try my best to stick with it, maybe even pass the business on to family members. If I do have great stuff and customers really seem to like to go there, then my business will get bigger and better. I may also have a lot of money. If I didn't finish college, then i can use that money for my college classes and have a good life with no problems at all. To my community, I am not really sure what they would think, if it was good then they would have great thoughts and enjoy shopping at my store or whatever it would be. To others, they just have to find out for themselves.

Assignment-Building Sand Castles in Hollywood

What's the main Point? Summarize in one sentence.
  • This article is mainly about construction and having a job out in Hollywood. I think it talks about almost the same thing and compares them to other things they have experienced and seen in life.

Discuss: Why does Rob Neill compare building sets for television to building sand castles?
  • He compares the buildings with Sand Castles being made because when they have finished up a building, and used it for what it was for, they begin to tear them down in about a month, some places can be a year or more.

Describe the steps along the construction career ladder and the increasing amount of responsibility that comes with each position.
  • It's just about the constructing buildings and learning how to do it. You have to be skilled to do what it tells you. You don't need a college degree as long as you know what you are doing. As you go into the job, they let you know what tools you should be good with and can handle. Out of this all you just need to have construction skills and get the job done.

How does this article relate to you? Like, dislike, interesting, not interesting?
  • Well, to me, I just think it's pretty interesting to read. It makes people think about other things such as constructing and building things and comparing them.

Are Animal Actors Safe at Work?

Yes, they are because in every film that has animals, well some, in the end credits they say "No Animals Were Harmed In The Making Of This Film."
